George Bond Interior Design has won the prestigious UK Property Awards’ ‘Best Interior Design’ for two consecutive years (2013 – 2015). Known as the ‘King of Colour’, his continuing success, and that of the George Bond Design Studio, is a result of his and his team’s vision and creativity, and a keen ability to combine practical considerations and expertise to individual tastes and preferences.
Fellow of the Royal Society
George is a Fellow of the Royal Society and a respected lead Judge of the Northern Design Awards. In a role he has taken seriously for nearly a decade, George also mentors numerous students and graduates of Newcastle College and continues to provide them with invaluable support, guidance and inspiration. George Bond Interior Design is based in Newcastle with a consultation office in London.
George Bond has invested over 25 years establishing the George Bond Interior Design studio and a stellar reputation as an award-winning interior designer and decorator with an excellent eye for detail and exacting standards of finish. George starred as a resident interior designer on the hit 90’s ITV show ‘Better Homes’ with Carol Vorderman and has since appeared as a design consultant on BBC’s ‘Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is’ and currently appears on the regional network programme, ‘Behind Closed Doors’.
Having been trained by George Bond himself, Ray Watkin is an integral part of the company. Ray works closely with George in creating stunning and timeless interiors for their clients specialising in all aspects of interior design such as lighting layouts, bespoke furniture, interior layout, soft furnishings, kitchen design and internal reconfiguration. Ray is also a director of the business and head of design.
